Industry at Work
FCPC is the eyes, ears and voice of consumer packaged goods manufacturers, providing a forum for:
- non-proprietary customer issues such as e-commerce and supply chain initiatives; and
- common issues with regard to government policies and emerging consumer trends.
We work with the associations representing our members' customers in order to gain supply chain efficiencies, develop industry best practices on issues such as unsaleable products and deductions, and to launch industry-wide solutions such as ECCnet, Canada's multi-industry on-line product registry. Our members' customers include grocery, drug, convenience, mass merchandise and foodservice distribution channels.
We're the industry's major contact with government. They come to us for industry views on key issues and we go to them with member challenges and opportunities. We also participate with numerous government agencies at all levels in the development of legislation, regulations and standards.
