New study substantiates urgent need to modernize Canada's food regulatory system

FCPC and CCGD move forward on industry unsaleables initiative
A new joint manufacturer/retailer Unsaleables Steering Committee has been formed to review and update the Unsaleables Protocol, which has been in place since 2003. The objectives of the project are twofold: 1) to conduct an in depth analysis of the current joint industry protocol, specifically in relation to the incidence benchmark and the handling rate; and 2) to recommend changes to the current protocol for industry approval and adoption.
