Manufacturing Supervisor
We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor for the day shift for our honey processing facility located in London, Ontario. The successful candidate will oversee the manufacturing activities for Billy Bee and Prepack Manufacturing; manage resources to achieve line schedules at or better than target efficiency levels; ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Safety Rules and Regulations; complete employee performance appraisals; identify cost savings opportunities; ensure activities are performed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice’s; perform quality inspections and participate in Quality Audits; manage employee performance; coordinate the required training for staff; ensure employee concerns are acted on in a professional and timely manner; and is accountable for department expenses and budgets.
This key position requires a post secondary degree or diploma and 3-5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. High Performance Work Systems knowledge as well as Lean Manufacturing project experience is a tremendous asset. Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as experience on a Joint Health and Safety Committee is an asset. Quality control inspection experience is an asset.
Superior leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as Microsoft Office and SAP knowledge is needed. Overtime and off shift coverage may be required as well as the flexibility to take courses to improve skills and leadership abilities.
