Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated team player to assume the role of Regulatory Specialist at our London, Ontario facility. The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Food Science, nutrition or related discipline and will have a minimum of 3 years of regulatory experience within the food industry. The Regulatory Specialist will have working knowledge of the Canadian and U.S. food regulations, ingredient, allergen and nutrition labelling and Kosher certification requirements. Strong interpersonal and good analytical skills are key attributes for this position. The qualified candidate is detail oriented, well organized and able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines. Experience within an SAP environment and bilingualism (English/French) are assets.
Reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Manager, the Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for reviewing formulas, creating ingredient statements and nutrition facts tables as well as preparing product specifications and related regulatory documents. The Regulatory Specialist will work closely with the Canadian Industrial Group in responding to customer requests for technical information.
